The BUHSD Social Emotional Learning Committee invites you to celebrate SEL DAY on Wednesday, March 6th during lunch in the quad area. There will be popcorn, cotton candy, snow cones, music, a positive affirmations wall, wooden coasters painting, many informational tables, and much more. Come be a part of the festivities and embrace the joy of SEL Day!
Additionally, we will have assembly schedule Friday, March 8th!
SATURDAY ACADEMIES The registration link will be sent out the Monday before each Saturday. March Saturday Academies are March 16th and March 23rd. They are the last two Saturdays before Prom clearance.

Monday, March 4th- Game participants will receive bracelets Monday during lunch.
School Audience Participation –
Each School audience group begins 200 points. Your school will be judged on the school spirit of the attendees.
Points will be deducted for:
• Profanity, booing, or rudeness towards Junior Fair Board Members, Judges, security.
• Destruction of Fair property.
School disqualification will occur for bullying another school in any of the events listed above.

Publications
Yearbook Ordering Information - fliers have been sent to student and parent emails with links and phone numbers for order directly through Jostens. If you need this information, contact Publications, Ms. Camargo, at mcamargo@brawleyhigh.org.
Beginning November 1, yearbooks will be $75 until we sell out.
If yearbooks do not sell out by May 2024, they will be sold on a First-come, first-serve basis at the end-of-the-year distribution event for $80.
Make cash or check payments with Ms. Camargo or an editor in Room 54 - card payments are not accepted in room 54.

Card payments and Payment plans are available for online purchases only.

Scholarships for $10,000 and $25,000
For California High School Juniors!
The application is open December 1, 2023 – March 15,2024.
The Horatio Alger Association seeks to provide scholarship assistance to deserving students who have demonstrated integrity, determination in overcoming adversity, academic potential, the personal aspiration to make a unique contribution to society, strength of character and financial need.
The Association awards 7 scholarships with a $25,000 National Scholarships
And 51 students from the state of California with $10,000 scholarships.
Key criteria for qualification:
1. Enrolled as a full time high school junior
2. Demonstrate critical financial need ($65,000 or lower adjusted gross family income is required)
3. Display integrity and perseverance in overcoming adversity
4. At least a 2.0 GPA
5. Be a United States Citizen
